Miss New Bootie

You found me! Now check out my new booties for fall. P.S. They were all purchased at Lord and Taylor with awesome discounts!

How I stayed Casual, Covered, & Comfortable this week-

There are a variety of different ways to style these great boots, however, this week I’m focusing on staying cozy in the cold. This New England weather adds a wind chill like no other. Look below to see my classic looks styled with my favorite new boots for the season!

1. Sam Edelman “Lance” Suede Booties: Can ONLY be found at Lord & Taylor

I have been in search of the perfect burgundy colored boot for fall and I think the wine color of this guy is perfect! Plus, Sam Edelman is my favorite brand of shoe since they are equally as comfortable as they are cute.

How I Styled Them:

The Laydown Low-down:

Bag: Ralph Lauren (purchased at Marshalls), Plaid Scarf: Nordstrom, Mid-Rise Skinny Jeans: Hudson, Tshirt: Madewell, Buttoned Cardigan: J.Crew, Quilted Jacket: J.Crew Factory

This first outfit has the most detail for sure! I knew I wanted to be matchy-matchy with this new great colored shoe so I picked out the J.Crew classic cardigan first. I used to work there you know, and I really miss the discounts! I also stuck one of my favorite tees from Madewell underneath to give the look some depth.

This black bag is one of my favorite purchases and reminds me of my favorite Prada purse that I searched all over Paris for but couldn’t find for the right price. Also, it’s black so in my wardrobe the purchase was a no brainer!

I was gifted this super soft blanket scarf from one of my closest friends over the last winter holiday season. It is one of my favorite scarves of all time and I am obsessed with all of the colors it has without looking too busy. Nordstrom does a great job of having a wide plaid scarf selection so be sure to check it out!

Lastly, I purchased this Quilted Jacket from the J.Crew Factory store about a year ago because it comes in a close second to the Burberry coat I have forever dreamed about. Aside from the fact it doesn’t have the timeless plaid lining, it has great gold hardware details.

2. Lord & Taylor Design Lab “Maala” Microsuede Sock Booties:

I love the unique design of the heel of this boot as well as the stretch fabric and height of the shaft. Although the styling is unique, it should stay in style because of the ever-classic black colored suede. (I bought similar boots from Steve Madden and hated how painful they were! This heel is much more comfortable.)

How I Styled Them:

The Laydown Low-Down:

Colorblock Bag: Ralph Lauren (purchased at Marshalls) , Asymmetrical Turtleneck: BCBGMaxAzria , Plaid Cape: Topshop, Ripped Ankle Jeans: Joe’s Jeans

I’m not much into colorful bags since I am an all time lover of black, but this color blocked purse from Ralph Lauren can literally go with anything since it is black and white. I also got a great deal on it at Marshalls!

I purchased this plaid cape from Nordstrom about a year ago and have loved it ever since. It is from the Topshop section and the plaid includes colors of cream, light blue, red, black, and charcoal. What a great color combo!

Often I find myself purchasing ankle-length skinny jeans for every season from the stores because they fit better with boots and aren’t too long for my legs. I’m only 5’5 people!

3. 424 Fifth “Layna” Suede Ankle Boots

I love the light taupe color of these boots and the all-over soft suede. Also, the buckle gives a nice touch and the style allows this boot to be dressed up or down.

How I Styled Them:

The Laydown Low-Down:

Neverfull MM Bag: Louis Vuitton, Angora Sweater: Joie, Skinny Jeans: Joe’s Jeans

P.S. I had to switch my boots because it started raining and I didn’t want to damage them!

I purchased this Louis Vuitton bag when I was 17 years old and had zero bills to pay and worked full time through high school. It is still to this day my favorite investment piece and is spectacular condition! Talk about timeless!

This Angora Wool Sweater was originally over $200, but since I purchased it at Marshalls, I scored it for 1/4 of the price! How cute is that pattern also? Super in style and comfortable too! I was even sweating in the 40 degree weather yesterday.

Joes Jeans happens to be my favorite denim brand. They seem to fit my waist, thighs, and calves like a glove (which is nearly impossible to find in a pant). The best part is that they are available in all of my favorite department stores and off-price retailers!

*All accessories for all three outfits (dainty rings) were purchased at my favorite boutique, Calico.

How are you transitioning with this weather? Be sure to check back for more looks next week after a fun weekend photoshoot!
