Holidays in the Office

Working in the fashion industry for about five years now has been a real eye opening experience, especially around the holidays. I was employed part time through high school and college in a retail store and all that the ‘most wonderful time of the year’ meant to me was late nights, early mornings, and double shifts.

Thankfully, working full time in a corporate environment means something much different during the holiday season. Yes, I still get up for work every day early in the morning, but I am able to see my close family and friends and enjoy their company instead of spending quality time with customers.

Another great part about the corporate world is that usually the company will have a holiday celebration where you can mix and mingle with all of your favorite coworkers. No matter where you work or what your position is, this outfit below is sure to be office appropriate and spread some holiday cheer as well!

Blazer: H&M (under $20!) // Dress: Stitch Fix // Santa Monica Clutch: Louis Vuitton // Pumps: Sam Edelman

While trying to hunt down the perfect dress, I completely forgot that my next Fix was being delivered within a few days. After countless hours at the mall and failed attempts to find the perfect dress, I came home to my little studio apartment to find that a package was delivered. Wouldn’t you know this sparkly black and gold number was waiting for me the whole time?! Talk about great timing.

I bought this shiny patent Louis Vuitton bag two summers ago while studying abroad in Paris. After buying three basic monogram items in the past, I knew I needed to get something a bit more exciting. Although I don’t take part in fancy nights on the town often, it is nice to have an evening bag in a versatile color for special events. My full size LV wallet fits perfectly inside and the purse also comes with a longer strap so that it can be used as a cross body bag as well. I do not carry the bag by the gold chain, but I do think it is a great design detail that really makes it appear more expensive and unique.
