NEXT on SCENE: Fashion Show

As you may have noticed via social media, I recently took part in another magnificent fashion event in the Boston area. NEXT on SCENE was founded by the fabulous Jaclyn Zukerman of JZ Social Enterprises, LLC. Not only is Jackie juggling so many great hats, but she shares the same goal as I do with this blog- to put the spotlight on small businesses in the area and the powerful people who run them.

Behind the scenes, hair was styled by the sweet Jamie Cholaki of Hair by Cholaki and faces were perfected by Alexandra Dale of Alexandra Makeup Artistry.

The night at VENU began with Belvedere cocktails and great treats by another awesome chick- Rosa Silvie of Oh Jolie Catering. Rosa creates the most decadent delights and the presentation of her creations really expands on her great taste (pun intended).

Now, grab yourself a bite-sized cupcake and follow along below:

Queens Know: This brand was created to encourage women of all wonderful shapes and sizes to feel confident in their own skin. The “Queen” knows she is powerful just by being herself. After all, Beyoncé taught us all who runs the world- girls! The creator, Keisha Jean Louis, was determined to bring light to all sizes in the spectrum and does just that.

The Lucky Onez: The Lucky Onez brand (with a Z!) has three main goals for the wearer; live well, look well, and feel well. This company encourages you to grow and prosper into the person you were born to become. The clothing line consists of athletic wear and casual styles with an urban touch.

Timeless Bridal Creations: Every stylish show needs some accessories… how about a bouquet of flowers? The ladies of Timeless Bridal Creations are New England natives and use that coastal charm to create one of a kind personalized bouquets for brides in the area. These bouquets do not only consist of flowers, but you will also notice jeweled brooches and even other plants! Speaking of timeless, you can also plant your succulents after using them for your big day.

Giblees: For over 50 years, Giblees has been bringing confidence to the men of New England. They offer both formal and casual designer clothing that is brought to the store from all over the globe. Aside from the stunning selection, the sales associates give the best personal service to ensure the men are dressed to impress. Visit the site to see which designer brands Giblees has in store.

Lalla Bee: We met Melina at the last fashion event that took place in South Boston where she showed pieces from her collection at a dress boutique. To me, the most important thing to take away from any designer is the story behind her designs and how she got to where she is today. Watch below to see Melina explaining how her roots and personal growth brought together the ideas for her business.

Most of the photos were taken by my favorite photographers of Omega Digital Studios, which is located just outside of the city. These guys specialize in professional photography in the Boston area and are even rated 5/5 stars!

The best part of any and every event are the great connections that you make along the way. You never know who you will cross paths with, and I am so blessed to have many new friends that share the same business mindset. There is nothing better than working with such wonderful people and having a blast in the process.

Final thoughts: It was absolutely incredible to witness a fashion show with such diverse talent. On the runway, we saw high-end street wear, unique formal attire, personalized menswear, extravagant jewels, and even succulents. However, even more mind blowing than the designs themselves were the local people who all “broke a leg” to make the night a complete success.
